Planting is grounding of our souls. Something I did with my children the minute they could understand.
We teach children to nurture what they plant. This teaches them so many other values. What you sow is what you reap! They learn an appreciation of life. They learn to care and nourish something that is theirs but also not theirs. They learn to share and be grateful. They also learn that you can harvest and enjoy the fruits of your hard labour. Which teaches good work ethics. Everything we devote ourselves to has rewards. If you put in the time.
And then to see them pick a veggie that they grew and enjoy eating it when you cook it for them. Ahhh It gives them such an amazing sense of accomplishment and pride.

We nurture not only good eating habits, but we feed the soul.

Good on you meneer, look I don't have time, but willing to make a contribution, won't be a big one unfortunately because I find myself in a bit of a tough situation personally but if everyone gives a little, it will amount to something, and something is better than nothing ... let me know.
