Community appointed moderators with some admin authority (to edit offensive or out of place posts, merge threads etc) is what seems to work best on other forums.

Good idea, but I don't see it working here. Too many biased people here and ladies and gents would make nice-nice with the mods for favours, they already doing that for reviews.

Esa must hire 2 people to moderate, since they always have their hands full. 1 day shift and the other night. The amount for the ladies' ads and gm went up, these are the kind of things that would be appreciated on the forum, to keep some peace and attract more people to participate.

Not enough is being done to maintain harmony unfortunately. Actually nothing is done at all.

I'd rather stay away and book a dramaless lady like Laura Love

Well this wouldn't make any sense for ESA financially. The public forums don't make them any money. The real issue though is that we don't need *more* moderation, we need the ability to *self*-moderate. If I can ignore what i don't like and you can ignore what you don't like, then we don't end up with the mod-corruption and power trips you alluded to earlier.

I'm an advocate of introducing the "ignore" feature and I hope if the ESA devs can deliver just one more awesome feature this year then it's that. I don't like the idea of more nannying, but I do like the ability to filter out some noise for myself. There are interesting posts here but you have to filter through so much rubbish you sometimes just get lazy. At least the GM forum is better.
