Those seem like two conflicting quotes, in my opinion.

I confess I can't understand a word of her blog. She is so wrapped up in being clever that her meaning is completely obscured. But taking just the bit you quoted, it could easily mean forced as in she didn't plan on taking a sabbatical but felt she was forced to by this whole situation. I could be wrong, my RB decoder ring has never worked.

I happen to agree with honeybear. This matter is not perfectly clear. In addition to his quote, from Russian Bridgitte's blog, I'd like to quote the following, written by Orpheus and posted on Sunday evening, just past:

"Nite everyone. That was the season finale. The producers will decide in the morning if there will be another season."

What did he mean by this? Did he, perhaps, know something, at that time, that we didn't?

Also, why were both Russian Bridgitte's profiles down since Saturday, last week? Surely, if she did "quit", those profiles would only have been shut down this morning.

It is my, most humble, opinion that she chose to create closure for herself and move on, given that her "ESA voice" had been withheld from her. She is not the type of person who would leave without saying goodbye. Consider also, the fact that Eddie stated, in his post this morning, right after providing her blog address, that "...she will be more than happy to relay her version..." and at the very end of his post.

With no comment/ response from ESA regarding Ms RB's profile status, it is obvious that there will be no redress or fair practice in the way it handles such disputes.

It is clear that Ms RB was forced into a situation - she had no recourse on the forum, she had no response to her requests for discussion - in short, she didn't jump but was pushed.

The initial catalyst for the dispute remains unscathed, untouched and unrepentant. May his permanent sojourn in the Underworld be enjoyable - he certainly will never rescue his Euridice!

Whilst it may have little impact on the ESA operation, I have no choice but to cancel my profile. A small domino in itself, but a larger domino effect can sometimes occur, for which only ESA can take responsibility.

Two very good contributors to this site deleted their profiles as protest about the handling of this matter by the administrators of this site.

The gene pool of contribotors suffered a major loss, with the resignation of two well-read and evenly tempered punters deciding that they had enough, leaving the gene pool's median of intelligence and manners and just about everything suffering badly.
