Been doing a lot of self-reflection and thinking the last couple of weeks.

New Years resolutions are not the simple things anymore like go to the gym more or stop smoking ... all good ideas!

The first one I have exceeded in the past four years achieving provincial level performance in my physical sport of choice

There are a lot of decisive decisions and adjustments that I need to make in both my personal and work life. The wheels were set in motion prior to the festive period and are being fully rationalised and ventilated with those human advisors that I trust with my life so that actions can be executed, as difficult as they may be ... :)

Then onto the fun stuff like the Purple World - well that easy, I want to open myself up and spread my wings more to experience different ladies ... get out of my comfort zone, and finances permitting experience the pleasures of a different lady at least once a month.

Then certainly participate more in the daily lives of my children who get to see little of me because of the long hours required by my profession - so striking more of a balance.

There are others but I am a very complicated human surviving in a very complicated world so won't bore anyone with the details ...

I don't really do NY resolutions, but if I had to make one it would be not to miss a visit to Aunty Sage next time I am in South Africa. Spent a wonderful birthday with her last year (at some point I couldn't detect my pulse for 10 minutes). But then I left the country, and on my one trip back there I could not get around to visit her. Now I am sitting here on my birthday about to take matters into my own hands :(

I still think fondly of my time spent with her...
