This morning, i made an appointment with an SP, which i have recently booked, but at another house.

So she send me the address. There can be no confusion, it is not a duet or anything.- it is a single story free standing house.

As i pulled up to the house, the gate is opened ( which i loved, as it can be quite awkward waiting in-front of a gate and the SP takes time to open).

As the gate almost instantaneously opened on my arrival, i drove in. Got my stuff and get out of the car. Now somebody (looking like he is the garden worker, indicates i should come thru a small gate. I proceed, thinking he is the guy guiding clients to the room.

As we get into like a courtyard, a woman (looking like a domestic worker) ask me who am i looking for. So i say X. She says she does not know anybody by that name. I said ok, sorry, i must be confused, turn around and go back to my car. (I did not compromise her in any way, i pretended i am at the wrong address).

The gate is opened for me, and i reverse out. The very moment, the SP whatsapp me. "Why did i not call when at gate"? I said, but the gate opened for me, i thought you opened it? So she was beyond upset with me, and instructed me to never waste her time again, and book her.

So i tripple checked. I was at the right address. I can only deduct that the garden and domestic worker are not aware of her ESA name, nor what business is conducted. Thats all fair.

But i feel she should have seen me drive in. She must have heard my little conversation with the domestic.

So i can see how i was wrong on not calling her from the gate, but how many punters will still call in front of a gate opening for you on a confirmed booking and arrival on time?

I cant see how you were wrong, as per normally the lady should be going out and meet you at your car to guide you inside. Cause its not like you stay there to know where to be going. Or at least thats what i do. Whether its a guest house, a private venue, or whatever. You just dont sit inside and wait for whom ever to have to waist his time playing hide and seek for him to have to find you.

Its just rude

I am so sorry to here about this.

I always ask my clients to call when at the gate though in the same token I do also keep my eye on the gate. Though sometimes another resident may have opened up the gate they still call me as they need to know where to find me.

When opening up I give them full instructions on how to get to me and if it's a client who has never seen me before I stay on the line with him until he meets me at my door.

I feel for you. I too would have thought she opened up the gate since she was aware of your appointment time.

Well done to you for not stirring trouble and making out you were at the wrong address it speaks volumes of you as a person.

The lady in question needs to use her common sense and brains.
She knows the punter is coming at a certain time ,
Even if she didn't know the the other helpers on the premises,

She could have at least listened to the punter and told him to come back and then improved on her welcoming logistic skills instead of her alleged rude response .
She is hot here to do punters a favour, there are plenty other ladies with common senses that the punter will gladly give business for service to.

However I would like to hear her response as their is always two sides to a story.

Time is money ... for both the SP and the Punter, I wish more people on both sides of this equation would realise that and reflect it in the way they handle their business.

It's a sign of both self respect and respect for your client, to not waste their time or offer a less than optimal service.

It really doesn't take much to ensure a client is properly received, greeted, accompanied, teased, pleased, exploded and subsequently (and with the greatest care and affection) expelled in a manner that makes them feel the entire effort was worth it to begin with.

Something very similar happen to me at a venue, but with a much better ending than that of the OP.

Arrived at the venue just as someone else was entering. Followed him, through the gate, parked my car, and as I got out of my car, the SP was there waiting for me.

Start to a mindblowing session.

I think she owes YOU an apology... I would have followed the exact same footsteps you did in those circumstances.

If she has refused future bookings with her for this reason, then name her so we can all avoid.
