Something that seems to come up in people's minds when considering it is "how many people are helping all thinking they are paying the same bill and the SP is just collecting multiple donations".
Personally, I am either willing to give without question, or not able to at all. But I do understand that concern to a degree.
I'm just thinking/typing out loud here, may not be feasible and may not be something people are comfortable doing, but here it is:
For anyone who needs help and is willing to ask for it on the forum, how about stating the amount needed, and giving a number/code to each person who assists.
Then update the thread with things like "Donor#1 has contributed X rand, thank you, I need Y rand more to be ok".
That way people may feel more comfortable that they aren't being taken advantage of in this situation, and any donors wanting to remain anonymous can do so.
I wouldn't do it that way myself, but maybe it could work for some?

Something similar worked perfectly with the Xmas drive.
Transparicy is a good tool to use when asking for something.
People want to know why they should give.
Whom they will be giving too?
They want to see where you started how you doing and eventually reaching a goal.

O HEAR YOU LOUD AND CLEAR. I SO DO. But I just can't ask. If I get a pm and someone offer me something I want to offer something back that both of us feel comfortable, If he accept, I keep with it, if its an donation, I thank him. They don't want any credit. Not even wanting to you to mention it.

I agree with all except the "why they should give".
You wouldn't want it to inadvertently become a storytelling contest, or open people up to comments and criticism about how they aren't managing their lives properly. You know what forums can be like.
I'm actually not completely sold on my own idea, and I have my own way which works for me personally. I do think it may work for some though.

I get that and it would still fit in. Say you needed R1000.
Someone offers you R200, as a donation, but wishes to remain anonymous.
You thank him, and tell him he is Donor#1.
You post on the thread that you have received R200 from Donor#1.
The next person who may have been wanting to help but was not sure if someone else already had now knows that you still need R800, and can donate accordingly.
The fact that Donor#1 can see your post and knows the truth of it makes you somewhat accountable.
Or something like that.... maybe someone is willing to turn my thought experiment into an actual one. I've probably spent more time on it than I should already.
