The only reason to not have a budget for January is that you had your fun in December.
That said, I had 4 pints in December and have had 3 so far in January.

agreed! I've been fortunate enough to have a mostly-stress-free January, *mostly* thanks to the clients who scheduled their Jan dates long enough in advance - I suppose they knew that in order to look after their January selves, their December selves would have to be at least somewhat prepared
