Just curious to find out what's considered to be a reasonable age gap in a relationship and have people on the site have or had big ones and how do those relationships work out?

It's all relative.

The only rule I have about age is adults should not be dating kids.

But once an adult, it's up consenting adults.

But if we going to insist age matters, then the next step is race, then gender, then political, then status ....

Point is age in your relationship only concerns you and your partner and the willingness to work through the challenges that come with it. Everyone can only have an opinion and should be kept as that to themselves.

I had an older woman as a gf by 14 years when i was 23. I heard the whispers and saw the stares when in public with her but it didn't bother me at all.

Honestly what made me happy was I got to hold her hand, make her laugh, romance her, she left another man for me (it was a newish relationship so i guess it wasn't big deal), I got hear her thoughts, fears, concerns hopes and dreams. But most of all, the best feeling was when she rested her head on my chest as we cuddled and just feeling how happy, safe and content she was.

Emmanuel macro, 24 years younger than his wife, married 16 years.

Michael Douglas Catherine zeta joins, 25 years gap, married 23...

Yes I get it's celebrities but just some "easy" examples to prove a point.

Been done before, can be done, if not by you, some else will.

There is no problems for a 60yr old to have a relationship with a 30yr old.
As long as the 30 year old won't mind being in a relationship with a 90yr old when s/he has reached the age of 60.

As I said it's with celebrities because they so widely publicised

In the commoners realm it does exist, just not as often and these kinds of relations do have a high failure rate.

Certainly in Thailand there are many couples of older men and younger women, where the woman is marrying up and you'd be amazed at how many of those do work out.

I think older men and younger men are less likely to succeed.

You just burst my bubble, was planning to swopped the wife when she reaches 60 for 3 x 20year olds, and to do the same to them when they get to 60.
