Also got a call this week, from a 073 number. Told him to F off and blocked the number. Next morning I get a call from a 012 number, asking if one of his colonel's called me yesterday regarding a case. Funny thing is I haven't contacted any ladies for the past 3 months or more.
Check that 012 number on true caller.. it will give you info about that number.. don't have true caller pm me I will check for you..
These assholes are really an annoying bunch.
I know it ain't easy to stay calm when this happens. But best is to stay calm and then block. Really nothing they can do but scare the living day lights out of you and hope you fall for it.
Avoid using your Pvt or business numbers to make calls. Get a SIM card(pre registered simcards is availableb from most corner shops) that you only use for punting purposes and don't use your real name when punting.
If you have in past used your Pvt/business nr.. they are a lot more likely to know you real name as apps like Truecaller and even facebook will show your real name if they do a number search.
It is difficult to hide business nrs on social aps as it is vital for your business to be reachable by phone. So you will just have to hope you don't become part of their calling list and then just toughen it out when you do.
As for Pvt nrs...there is absolutely no reason we should have our Pvt numbers linked to social media platforms where it is visible to or traceable by strangers. Your family and friends will have your nr.
I have posted this same piece of advise over and over again in past couple of years and will probably keep doing it again and again, just like many other have and will keep posting,as there will always be new punters that do not yet know how to protect themselves from this scamming assholes.
You know you did nothing wrong..so block them.. end of story.. yes they bmight try again from different nrs... just block them again. They will eventually realise they wasting their time on you.
