The problem is they feel embarrassed to speak up as they would be seen as weak if they say they are being abused. My mother was an alcoholic and abuser and hated it when I didn't defend her when her partner actually fought back defending himself. People need to realize that it is not just woman and children that are victims of abuse, but men as well. November is men's health awareness month and on the 19th of November it was International Men's day. I wonder who knew and supported it. June is normally Men's Mental Health month. Just as woman and children need protection, so do the men around us.
