I too had to cancel one day when I did a photo shoot and we accidentally closed the burglar door at the top of the stair case after the first profile was done in the heat our creative minds for next the shoot. It was unfortunate that the photographers left his keys and phone in the treatment room while I had to wait for my daughter to get home with the key. So that the photographer could get in. Luckily I had laundry on the washing line so I didn't have to much explaining to do.

Though I did explain to him and I was honest so we did reschedule.

The story was on my thread Redemption by Edging.

The thing is anything can happen to anyone at any given time give her the benefit of doubt since it's a first offense in many years of advertising.

Sticking up for you guys here. Yes just like you gents that are called time waisters us ladies can also be time waisters. And sometimes even in the worst possible way. Im throughing myself under the bus here.

Example. Got a call, as some of you know I had a baby 3 months ago. So.... Been waiting for the baby sitter to arrive. Knowing that any minute I might get the call to go, Im on her case. Where are you?
She is on her way. ... Is the reply.

As murphys law has it, the call comes thrue. Booking is confirmed. Time and place is set to go.

Jump back on the sitter. Please where are you i need to go. Reply im almost there. Litrally 5 min before the time i had to call back and cansel as she still haven't rocked up. Made me look bad. Lucky for me I had the chance to find a replacement and make it up to the client at a huge discount for him for waisting his time aswell.

My point at this is ...

Both parties need to realize that shit happens. Life happens. And whether the punter can or can not call to let you know that he wont be able to make it and or the lady. Its not always their fault. Especially the punter.

Us ladies are sitting safely at the venue, pvt venue whatever. The other person on the other had has a life aswell. Work, family, that he needs to juggle around to come and indulge in the goodness that is you the lady.

Anything can happen....
Not wishing anything upon anyone, but....

Someone could have driven into them, kid could have gotten sick at school or wife phoned you need to please go pick up the kids at soccor practice or whatever.

On his way to you anything can happen. And ladies i promise you the last thing on his mind then is to let you know. Cause that is how men are programmed.

And thats also why I feel that the ladies charging a canselation fee is just sorry to say money hungry i dont know whats. Cause really do you have no soul left at all or heart to put yourself in that persons shoes. Take a step back and think what and how would i be feeling right now if that was me.

Unfortunately sometimes shit happens and you can not no matter how hard you try change it. Just my oppinion.

Yes of course. I meant SP's all round not specifically the one mentioned :) every one can have an unexpected situation where they have to cancel, and for me as long as they have the decency to let you know they are forgiven, if they are not a repeat offender.
