From the word association game thread. A word hit home, FREEDOM...... what does that mean? We all slaves in some way. When do we consider ourselves to be free.
This has NOTHING to do with race.

I believe no human is actually free. We are all a slave to something. It is part of the human condition to serve something or someone. We serve or are a slave to our families, friends, our idols, a single superior being or multiple superior beings or even our own desires. So freedom is being able to choose who you are a slave to, who or what you submit to.

Freedom.

The dictionary meaning of the word

1. the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants.

... .Not even in the "garden of Eden" could Adam or Eve do or act as they pleased.

2.the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.

.....Does one know how? The plight of mankind to ever seek that which is imagined " on the other side of the fence"

Never good enough.

In whose eyes?

Does it matter what a fickle society might think?

Seems so. If it didn't there would be no resorting to bullying and trying to rub the other person the wrong way up.

Seems we care too much about all things that eat away at our understanding of what freedom could be, even in this fucked up so called progressive world we live in.

Do I know freedom?

Most definitely yes!

Is it constantly challenged?

Most definitely yes!

Does it come under threat? All the time but, somehow it work it's way back because to choose is mine and that leads to freedoms of many things others may question.

Freedom ain't an ydillic state of inertia.

It is alive and ours to make most of once we understand ourselves and that which fires our engines, good or bad.
