From my perspective I have noticed that there are a few providers who have actually branded themselves perhaps unknowingly in their personal galleries by providing consistency in some awesome imagery. I applaud you. Rather post great quality images than a plethora of substandard images.
Then there are some providers who I have noticed that the overuse of filters can make images look unnatural and overly processed, which makes me think what the heck was the person thinking. Which leads me to the conclusion that they have no idea of what they are doing and think it's cool, there is a loss of originality and have taken the cookie-cutter approach which is so easy taking into consideration the available apps we have at our disposal which creates a confusing brand image and lack of cohesiveness. Which in my case doesn't resonate.
Then with regards to the boring aspect, issues that come to mind lack of visual interest: due to poor composition, lighting, or colour choices. Outfit selections and clashing of colours, Eish!! Lack of emotion: Photos that don't convey emotion can be boring. Photos that all look the same or feature the same pose can be boring. Variation in subject matter, composition, and style can make a collection of PG photos more interesting. Poor quality: Photos that are blurry or low-resolution can be boring. The viewer should be able to clearly see the subject and details in the photo, tell a story, provide variety, and ensure high quality.
Yes I am aware that sometimes these are taken at the spur of the moment.
Whether or not to reveal your face is a personal decision that should be based on your comfort level and privacy concerns. Revealing your face may help to create a more personal connection with your clients and help to establish trust, but it may not align with the image that you want to project. Consider the marketing strategies of your competition. If your competition is revealing their faces in their PG the decision is ultimately yours that should be based on your comfort level.
In my view the images that stand out on the ESA site in the PG are the ones that imply or hint at sexual activity and are unique, different angles etc which can be arousing and exciting, perhaps some that depict power dynamics, such as dominance and submission or images that leave something to the imagination what is happening beyond what is shown in the photo.
The bottom line is to be authentic choose images that reflect your brand's values and messaging, and that your target audience can relate to and resonate with to drive more bookings.
