Sibyl you are absolutely spot on.
I am voluntary stuck with a bunch of absolute gems and rarely try new one's. Only one maybe two of them know my alias. I do not review often at all. I play at least one's a week sometimes more.
She is a gem if you drive away feeling "I wish I could have stayed longer" or have the "can't wait the visit her again feeling".
I nibble at new one's now and then but the gems is the gems.
Remember different oaks different strokes, my gems and your gems might be totally different.
Use the ratings as an indicator only.

Fist check how often the reviewer has posted. Fewer posts may be an indication of inexperience or self reviews or reviews by a subjective source.

Secondly check whether the reviewer posts monthly reviews for an extended period of time on the same girl. This along with a limited number of reviews by other punters, could indicate subjectivity (read boyfriend/msnager)

Third if you have a great experience with a girl who was positive positively rated by a specific punter, follow his reviews since it may indicate that you have similar taste in women.
