So for a change from looking down on everyone, next Sunday and Monday (13th and 14th) lets all look UP. There will be a truly spectacular supermoon, where the moon will be the closest to earth it has been since 1948. Absolutely wonderful opportunity, weather permitting, for photographing the moon.
If you do want to photograph it here are some suggestions. Use the longest zoom lens you have. Mount your camera on a tripod and get the moon full frame. You will want a low ISO. I've taken some beautiful shots at ISO100. You will also want a fairly small aperture (higher f-stop) so the light rays hitting the sensor are as parallel as possible. Also the moon is bright so you will want a low shutter speed. I don't recall what f-stop it was but the best shot I ever got was at 1/1250th.
