Hiv test,chemistry at the Wedge on rivonia road at R35.you can even do it in your car just by the parking.

I meant the full hiv,std/sti screening. I would like to avoid doing it on the medical aid.

If its your first full panel, I suggest going to any local medical centre or medicross that is close enough to you but out of your usual area.

I say this for a reason. Typically if its your first time they will do more then just take blood, they will take urine as well, they might also have a nurse give you the talk about safety issues and what you can take to be proactive in your health.
They can also prescribe you a series of antibiotics as a prophylaxis for a broad range of issues in case you are concerned and don't really want to wait.
I take a antibiotic regularly for work (for Malaria) that they use for killing all the gogga's so I usually get that there anyway. Doxycycline 500mg for 2 weeks will kill just about everything, it's the nuclear option as I say.

They will also maintain a professional secured medical file that can be referenced in any sort of follow up in terms of further testing and or treatments if needed.

Personally I think medical files are more secure at these types of places and the follow up is easier. Most also have an on-site chemist so you can do everything as a one stop shop and ride off into the night until your next check-up.

If you are concerned though and want to just do a one off check up, Dischem, will do it just fine. If you are like me and have punted for a while and opt to get checked fairly regularly then having a regular check-up spot is always good plan.
