Punting is not as popular in SA as most people would like to believe. I'd be willing to bet that most men who punt do not have time to be chasing skirts in the office, clubs, bars and lounges, which is why it's easier to just punt.

Finding women for NSA encounters is really not that hard (it's even easier when you fall in the high earning bracket of SA), but you have to have a lot of time on your hands. The majority of men in SA have time on their hands, that's why they don't punt. Instead, you'll find them in bars, clubs and lounges with the hopes of bedding whoever they meet.

Perhaps if we said 68% of men cheat - 0.5% would probably be punters.

But it would be even easier to come closer to a guesstimate if we knew how far this extends - are we talking about just SA or the world? That WG must have some serious years behind her back to reach such a viewpoint. Even a strip club would not even get such numbers and those aren't even as frowned upon as having to pay for sex.

I recall an article in a German magazine years ago (back in the 80's in fact) regarding statistics relating to men. One of the statistics stated that 80% of men admitted to having visited a brothel at some point in their lives. However it did not go into any more detail than that. The majority of men probably did/do it on the odd rare occasion and only a minority do it regularly.
Maybe the question should be rephrased to "What % of men punt regularly?". What frequency encounters would count as "regularly" though?
