www.debtbusters.co.za/faq/what-is-a-section-129-notice/

www.findanattorney.co.za/content_national-credit-act-section-29

www.derebus.org.za/default-judgment/

Gots to educate yourself about this here shit. Try and avoid lawyers, they just sharks who will milk you for your money.

Yep it's at this stage when the banks dont want to negotiate as they feel you've had plenty of opportunity to correct the account. They've probably followed the correct procedure, issued you with a Section 129 stating your rights as a defaulter - you did not exercise those rights and now they are 'gatvol' so to speak...... Applying for debt review at this stage is probably pointless ......

Girl I am seriously impressed. You should seriously think of changing professions(I will get the wrath of a lot of punters :), but this is indepth knowledge and correct too.

I guess we are all stereotyped in our minds and thanks for reminding all of us about getting rid of those stereotypes.... You are multi-tasking and multi-faceted individual. I believe you epitomise, Do what you love and knowledge never goes to waste.

I have read all the advise none of them make any sense.

I could right a long and lengthy mail but the space does not allowed that.

If you want to buy some time go the interdict route. If a company you got a little bit of a problem ,but there is a way around that if in person its easy if a trust there must not be more than two trustees.REMEMBER banks are predators and all of them made mistakes. Our courts are favourable the first time if you go against them. This is the easy t way and will buy you probably around five months cost will be around 30 grand.

My advice...approach the bank and try to come to an arrangement with them...running won't help and the debt will never go away...somewhere along the line they will trace you and this will only compound your problems

A very sensible person, this Ladylover007.

THAT, my friend, is the honourable thing to do!
Split your punting budget...to accommodate the payment arrangement.

OR..91 Million on PowerBall tonight!...Good Luck

Boss, I say fuck them. Don't pay. Let them come find you first. Go berserk and "introduce them to your little friend" Tony Montana style. Like a Motherfuckin Boss.

Like seriously, we're all adults... Yeah sometimes life throws us lemons but hey, if a person can't take responsibility and/or accountability, doesnt say much about their integrity.

A person's character is defined, not by the good times but how they handle the bad times!

Very noble, but when the finger of fate is pointed at you, you can doing nothing about it. There is a very honest truism, rather run to fight another day

100% correct. There are lots of ways to side step the process.

Is it morally correct: I personally dont think so.

Is it legal: absolutely!

Speak to a good attorney and accountant to weigh your options! Especially if high value assets risk being repossessed.
