18 months from May 2020. Candidate vaccine trials have begun and the race is on between pharmaceutical giants.

July 2021 there should be a break through or sooner.. hopefully sooner and all goes well. That should be our morning and evening prayer that the scientist find the cure and vaccine.

Then they have to industrilized it for the whole world which will take a few more months. So hopefully by the year 2022 we overcome corona virus COVID-19.

Else we fucked. Its does seem like a probable timeline. Let's hope for the best.

Other than what Tegsie are telling you all, the world is not all about numbers. Money rules the world. It would not be very long before International Travel are open, events (Sport and other) are back to normal. Although we, in SA, may still be going through our phases, the rest of the world will continue as normal . Very few of them have a phase approach in lifting Lock-down.

This Industry has always been illegal, can't see why it will now comply to the "levels" and wait. My guess is that we will start seeing the majority of SP's returning to full service during May. Jhb, DBN, East Rand, and CPT could still be changed back to Level 5, as those are the main areas of Infection.

As far as social distancing are concerned, that should become a permanent fixture. Hate it when people invade my "private" space. There are no reason why we can't keep a meter+ distance when in queues at pay-points etc. Was suppose to be the norm at the ATM prior to Lock-down

I don't see things in this industry getting any different in May than it is today , lockdown is lockdown and social distancing is social distancing. Are the ladies going to put themselves and their clients at risk! Venues will certainly not be able to open, the cops will shut them down quickly ( and you can't serve alcohol or food! ) . As Raven says, things will only start normalizing in this industry around level 1! A real pity but this is what will likely happen. I really feel for all involved in this industry ( along with everyone in the tourism, hotel, restaurant and bar industries) . Where punters can afford we will need to continue helping the ladies in anyway we can and especially their online services. We have another few months of this to endure!

Fact is that regardless of the level of lockdown social interaction is not allowed. And regardless of level....the virus is not suddenly going away....it will take months to get to get back to normal...likely only 2021.

I have an enormous amount of empathy with the ladies. Whether to take the risk and start taking bookings is really not an easy decision.

Personally I am not willing to take the risk, but I am going to keep my heart open and support in whichever way I can.

We are all together in this.
