All of us need to STOP IT.
The overthinking.
The trying to "predict" the future OCD habit.
The thinking about how to stay in CONTROL .
Thinking about what happens when we lose control of things we MUST control.
Thinking about how we COULD Have had a different outcome if we'd only said this or that.
And then overthinking about why we didn't say this or that.
And then rehearsing what we will or won't say in the future to people just so we can feel like we're in control of a situation that hasn't happened yet.
The over thinking about worse case scenarios.
The worry about your relevance and approval rating from colleagues and family.
LET. GO. IMMEDIATELY
When has any of the above think , think, think, thinking EVER made it better ? Maybe you achieved one outcome out of a million outcomes you are trying to constantly achieve.
You could have still done it without the suffering you know?
All I'm saying is that there was a book in the 90's that Oprah Winfrey put under every audience member's seats for like five seasons in a row called:
"Don't Sweat The Small Stuff - and it's all small stuff ".
Let that land.
It's time to breathe and be in the PRESENT.
