It's really subjective and depends on one's pocket and perception of value. what one punter thinks is pricy could be affordable to another and vice versa

@GeminiMajor, Well said Brother!!! This vexing price issue, will remain contentious, as I also belief that SP/WG have their own perspectives but contrary to popular believes, one can get a decent Punt at a price not more then 1k, just my observation!!

True. I think a lot of punters who gave issues with price, have the issue because they make it personal as in they want a specific person because of what they heard/read or whatever and that wg is charging more than they think it's worth and they get hung up on that wg and start throwing their toys.

However, it you look at it from the perspective of you want a punt and it needs to include XYZ services at X price with X race and X age etc, you'll and start calling, you'll end up with a list of wgs that can provide all of it at a price you're happy with and obviously they're happy with too since they're charging it. There's more options/advertisers than ever in ESA now. Just gotta open your selection instead of trying to book the same expensive punts everyone is booking and raving about.

Punting is expensive if you look at the premium rates versus what most people can at times use the cash for instead. If you try think that way, you would never ever punt as you will start thinking let me:

- fix up that leaking roof maybe
- service the car of that silly creak
- paint a section of the house that's fading
- buy that something you skipped for your hobby etc.

So you wank, post nut clarity makes you feel great you did not spend and can still do the above.

So find SP, decide on budget, put the money aside and go dive.
If session is great, awesome.
If you end up paying school fees, well then the lady was sexy on pictures. Don't beat yourself about it. Enjoy life.

Too many conspiracy theories here. To me it's not about budget but about what bang do you get for your buck. I'm not paying for a merc and then Get a Toyota instead for that price Value prop !
