i did not see those posts i dont read the threads everyday, apologies. but yes youre right, entrepreneurial mind was needed. hope those that read it helps somehow, if not its all good.

ONOT:

this was the basis of it, to not necessarily be frugal but wiser now thus more enjoyment longer term through abundant freedom and without the burden of bills to make memories worth while.

i guess people are set in their ways and anything different is disregarded. it is their choice after all .

@Vrik I think what Buzzy64 is trying to break down here is how much your working hours are worth to each individual.

Most salaried employees don't see the fact that each hour they work is worth x amount. Individuals that work for themselves (or those that have a side hustle) are much more aware that working x hours gives y money and can get z.

And then any money saved up buys you that time back from work.

Well anyway this is my take from what Buzzy64 said.

But I get the jest of the post.

But if you have to do this kinda comparison to other things they actually turn out to be very cheap.. earn 500 a hour by a pair of shoes for work that cost 500 get 2 years wear out of them.. kinda cheap ain't it?

And how do you put a time value on memories . I go holiday spend thousands but build wonderful sweet memories? What would the hourly value be.. a lifetime of hours or a minute a day? ..

in this case it would be the cost of the trip. if you can go on holidays or are then this concept isnt entirely for you however the second part maybe.

i guess people want the financially free idea but want their comfort zone and its experiences more from the above posts

Technically need to take your gross (net salary), subtract your operating expenses (I.e. That which you cannot remove.. I.e. Bond/rent, car, food, insurance, cellphone, Internet, lights, water, etc)

Then your gross profit should then be divided by 20 then 8.

Example of 35k.. Say overheads are 25k, leaves 10k disposable. Which is R62.50 per hour. A R900 punt then means 900/62.5 = 14.4 hours of work or 1.8 days of work.

So that 1 hour better be worth the 2 days of slog. R10k is the upside.. I'd argue most men have about R5k disposable which is almost a week of work for 1 hour of pleasure.

Pity some WGs see men as $$$ and if we (Johns) considered this amount of effort for kak or average service then the reviews may become more honest from punters, then the service levels may improve.

Great WGs are roses amongst the thorns.

Buzzy when anything is metricised it gets over simplified. I don't agree with your example given but 100% agree with your sentiment.

You're absolutely correct josephjoestar the basic example was to illustrate a concept to make people aware

@gsix men are basically $$$ in today's world now more than ever. The more that realise they worth more, the better. Unfortunately it's a long journey to achieve that

It is an approach of tool to think about. And its use will vary depends no on each persons individual circumstances.

Agreed on Punters being more honest in their reviews and service levels going up.

Really upsetting having a bad punt. For me it's the time lost more than the money. I can make the money back but I can't get that hour back. I'll happily walk out of a lake session.
