They give a price estimate in advance - which is usually pretty reliable unless the driver does something funny (eg. longer routes) or you wind up behind an accident that hadn't happened at the time of the estimate or shit like that

Thanks Vegas, my friend informed me that he also took a longer route and drove really slowly. I was able to source his details through certain means but he is avoiding me. I am really tempted to take justice into my own hands.

I had a uber stop when my car broke down at night and in the rain and told me to jump in as he knew where to get jumper cables
....he then took it upon himself to drive me around town asking me dirty questions, luckily I found a place to jump out and found a way back to my car...all I can say is ' stranger danger ' lol ..
Not so funny.
