I had a lady chatting to me but on punter phone, led to her asking for my photo then more riskier ones, stringing me along so she thought. She hade sent me her photo and nude, well so she insisted. I decided to send the pics requested but not of myself.
I then received the message, send me R1000 or she will release photos on FB, tell my faulty etc etc ....
She didn't have anything so told her for for it a F... OFF.

Had this happen to me too a few times through other channels. I have like 500 ignored requests from hot girls on Facebook as I'm pretty sure it's thes scammers.

Very common scam. Luckily I use fake everything with unknown people and send fake nudes too so it's a big joke when I tell them reverse image search my images like I did theirs. They like to use hotties pics from overseas and pretend it's them. Sometimes, it's even from paid subscriptions to get the nudes they send although I doubt they paying, probably have a network of dubiously obtained images. Some of them that tried to scam me 10 years ago are still running profiles on multiple platforms now still using the same pictures so obviously people are falling for it to keep it going that long. Reporting them to the platforms don't help either.

There's another scam going on, although I doubt any of us will fall for it.

Unknown sender starts sending you good morning and good night pictures and videos with a Christian theme. Most people would just delete and block. But people heavily into religion may not. Then they start getting innocent messages over time to build trust. Eventually info and photos are harvested from naive people, not for extortion but identity theft.

If you have an overly religious wife, family member or friend, stop this.

Then there are the dating sites with fake profiles. High risk due to the nature of information exchanged. You may even meet the fake identity in person. Insist on proper identification early on. Check social media to see if this person has a real life with a busy profile and connections difficult to fake. They usually target high net worth individuals.
