Another suggestion is to open the windows just a little bit. That way there is no tension on the glass when someone tries his luck. It's like trying to hammer a nail into a piece of wood that's on a rug.

It's a pity these fuckers don't attempt this with guys who are armed and ready to act in such situations. Unfortunately reports of robbers and highjackers getting shot or killed is rare, as these pigs carefully choose their victims.

I actually have pepper spray and drove with it now going looking for a window.
I have smash and grap shatterproof on my windows and that saved me really, my only concern now is getting a window.

I went to PG auto glass, they dont have, I called my dealership they dont have, I called FAW head office, still waiting for a reply regarding my window, apparently it needs to be imported and will take 30 days!!! now really......

But thank u again for all the kind words, this was really not attention seeking its merely to let everyone be aware that it happens.

3M make a clear film that we use for all our vehicles at work, it makes the side windows damn near shatter proof and as the laminate is on the inside you don't get any glass inside the car...
One of the things I did when I lived in SA full time was get all our cars done at one of local window tinting places and it is not a long process at all.

Given the current situation with the way the crims are breaking into cars at traffic lights it might be a good investment as it's a lot cheaper then most cellphones.
