Punting seems to be happening at places guised a massage parlours in some upmarket areas of the cities. Some are raided often but they re-open in the next street after a couple months.

They have some average to above-average talent. Price is high due to a lot of palms to be greased to keep the parlour running. Hygiene is also not so great, with just a small shower in the dry-walled rooms

If you are tempted, take your own condoms, sanitiser and wet wipes along. Don't carry too much cash on you and do not flash expensive stuff like gold rings, chains, cellphones etc.

Keep your head down/wear a cap when entering as some places have cameras and most such places will ask to sign in to legitimise the booking as a simple massage appointment. Needless to say no real names or cellphone numbers to be entered in the register.

Take general precautions, safety measures and enjoy. Of course nothing without condoms. Don't be tempted, although prevalence of STDs is low, but don't take chances

Dunno, I deal with a lot of I indian contractors from india and they seem a lot more trustworthy that the local durban variety, lol.

I wouldn't discredit them as a whole, India is a superpower after all. I deal with people in the UK, EU, China, Croatia and India. Making large payments to people you've never met and India was the only country that made me want to book a flight and go Fcuk somebody up!
UK and China have been fantastic. When shit went down they held my money for over a year and never gave me a days hassle when it was time to produce the goods.

Makes sense, I guess their idea of morality differs from western Christianity influenced morality - add to that the competitiveness, ehtnic and religious diffrences, caste system and limited resources...it doesn't make for a high trust society.
