Don't agree with the rat.

Specials definitely work as a marketing strategy- if it didn't none of the top companies would do it.

Also who doesn't like a bargain - we all do !!
From the providers point of view a booking before payday is worth gold.
Sometimes it's better to get something than nothing especially if rent etc needs to be paid .
Lots of professional businesses from accountants, attorneys and even drs are open to negotiation and yes do offer specials.

What punters don't like is the add on extras -
It's confusing often very arbitrary and just gives the feeling of being ripped off.
