Mukuru is popular among the migrant community but is not that popular amoung locals.
When sending with Mukuru, choose the option where the money lands in the recipient bank account. Don't choose a cash pick up unless the recipient is fully aware of Mukuru pick up points. Their pick up points tend to be in shitty parts of town.
The recipient will have to fill a South African Reserve Bank form before they receive the money. This can slow down the transaction if the recipient is slow to fill out this form.
