I am not referring to a Punter's load that is being shed, only the load by ESKOM.

Girls complain that during load shedding the internet and sell phone networks fall and as such they experience all kinds of problems with bookings/confirmations etc. The question is, why don't Punters made bookings in advance? Before the actual visit (or booking) they can also use of the ESKOM App to determine the situation in the area they are visiting. Surely a Punter does not need electricity to shed his load?

Just thinking - I always book well in advance rather on the spirit of the moment kind of thing

They do book in advance, but from my experience...the real f...k up is;

I work from a very high tight security place. I literally have to open and give access, so the f...k up comes in, how will I receive the message from clients to say "im here" without network on my phone. - without them thinking I ghosted them too! Thats why I plan accordingly, check the load shedding times, reschedule appointments to make sure i have signal at the time.

Booking in advance its great,especially if the punter set up the time.Even if i dont have a network,he can hoot when at the gate.I have no choice but to permit them to hoot,this on and off power.its ruining even phones and gates as well,this whole week.i will be forced to open
the gate on manual,so everyone has to understand:))until my landlord fix it..

Sadly, even bookings made in advance, are not kept by some. I've lost business because a client made a 90 minute appointment for the afternoon, in the morning, when there was electricity in our area. By his appointment time, he still wasn't here. I sent a whatsapp, which he ignored.
So advance bookings, whether during loadshedding, or not, would be AMAZING! IF the client actually showed up.....:) or let you know he's not coming anymore
