Prisoners scamming punters from jail.I still don't understand how some punters bought these guys stories to a point where they were able to make over R1M. I remember when I first received their call.When the guy introduced himself and told me what "charges" have been laid against me I panicked because obviously I didn't expect to receive a call from a "cop" about my punting activities.But during the conversation I could pick up that the guy was a layperson who doesn't even know how the law works.Infact all of them who called subsequently don't know how the law works.

I just wonder how some punters ended up paying over R1M in bribes to these Mamparas.

According to this mornings newspaper, the Hawks will be going back to those who paid the bribes. Failure to cooperate with them, may result in charges of corruption.
