I went to sleep last night not able to have my usual bedtime cup of coffee with a dash of amarula in it, thanks to loadshedding.

I woke up not able to have my usual strong black cup of coffee with a block of dark chocolate in it, thanks to loadshedding.

I know i love coffee but today i realised it is more than just the coffee. It is a rhythm, a ritual, a way of life .

The switching on of the kettle, making the coffee, smelling that richness fill the air. Going to sit outside and sipping it slowly listening to some soft music, letting my mind just clear itself of the happenings of the day,before heading to bed.

In the mornings waking up putting on the perculator, waiting for that perfect cup to brew, while i brush my teeth and make my bed. Placing that dark piece of chocolate in the bottom of the cup and pouring the coffee over it slowly. Taking my cup of sweet dark coffee and my diary and start to organise my day while sipping it slowly.

Without my goodnight and goodmorning coffee i feel a bit lost... my routine my rituals my life feels broken;)

I think today is a good day for a bater& bang deal..;)

Up to stage 6 i never had loadshedding where i stay, so i did not strwss to much about backup plans.

I need a gas bottle and burner and a kettle that can be used on gas burners... i need my goodnight and good morning coffee;) to sort out my coffee deprivation.

Then anything else that will make life easier when loadshedding bits.
