I honestly think she was being sarcastic. But there are also some guys I won't get in the shower with. Some guys come from construction sites or the likes. Plus I am scaredvof fungal infections on my feet lol.
I shower early, around 6/7am. Sometimes the first client is only at 10 or later. So I just hop in to refresh cos obviously I am not as fresh as I'd like to be. There is just that added bit of confidence when I know I am good and clean and fresh. It only takes a few minutes. Hair washing and shaving is done in the early morning shower. If there is no time for lotion, thats fine. The shower is most important. And I have a bottle of bleach mixture on the bath which I spray after anybody showers. No bath mats, except for the bleached slip -proof mat in the shower. I use towels to stand on and they go in the washing machine as soon as I have a full load.
I will never forget working with a well known lady in a very posh place and I was told only one shower per day.LOL. After and before every booking I had to do a basin bath. (I was past that decades ago). Never went back there cos even when I don't work I shower twice a day.
Now in case you don't know, there is a thing about coloureds and hair mincing. People often question my short hair. I am coloured and my hair doesn't take kindly to steam, so my short natural hair is ideal when it comes to a shower. I get ladies and hair but there is anthing called a shower cap. Put a swirlkous on and showere cap over ..... Problem solved. The thing is a lady doesn't have to shower with a client, I get that. I usually first have a coffee after a booking, load the washing machine if there is a load. Lets say next guy is in an hour. So I will shower closer to his arrival time. If I dunno when the next booking will be, a quick shower is in order once the client has left. Then I can take my time.
