Well, if both the Instagram profiles are public. Both are to blame really.

An SP can't expect it to be private if she sets it as public or accepts unknown followers and shows her face. If it wasn't him, it was gonna be someone else or the person coming across the profile themselves like what actually happened even if the third party lady was a snoop. Him talking about pictures on Instagram to some friends is no different to us looking at profiles here on ESA and showing and talking to our buddies about it. It's out here in the public already.

The OP also has to accept responsibility that his identity got exposed to her if he used his real indentity to follow her. He said he wasn't worried about his identity being known and that's what happened. She hasn't exposed it anywhere else so the threat is just he said she said basically.

A court is probably going to come to a similar conclusion so legal action is really a waste of time either way. Remember, even court proceedings are public so how many more random or known people will come to that.

Looks like both parties want it to be over so best they just go their separate ways and pick up any pieces. The OP should cut ties with that friend too or at least keep her at distance and keep the information sharing to a minimum. Someone like that is just trouble, eventually that trouble will be in his direction and not indirectly like now. Might have seemed like fun then but not now or won't be when it's directed at you.

Also, many wgs use Instagram, Twitter, Facebook to market with there stage names so I don't get this don't follow me nonsense. Keep your personal profiles locked and market on your advertising names if you want but don't tell people you'll put it out for anyone to see but don't want clients to see.
