You really don't need an infrared one. Just use an old fashioned glass one, they are more reliable and accurate. And a LOT cheaper. The only advantage of an infrared one is that it is quicker.
If you have a queue at the door, go infrared. Otherwise don't waste your money.

Please use care when relying on the scanners. If someone takes Tylenol, Advil or similar types of pills before the visit their temperature would be down and "potential" fever could go unseen.
