I've not read why but Corona must be cleaning everyone out. They must have spent zillions on World Expo 2020 and now it's in danger of being cancelled.

Nah. Maybe marginally, but base cost of living is just higher in Dubai than in SA. Girls would rather go home that sell at a loss. And Dubai "struggling" doesn't really have the same meaning as in most other parts of the world, bailouts from Abu Dhabi notwithstanding.
