I was actually thinking the very same thing yesterday. Maybe it's about not being able to bridge the gap between the rich and poor. So to government, the poor are already poor and can't really get poorer so instead of trying to pick them up unsuccessfully, rather bring everyone down to the same levels and then try and regulate everyone rising at the same level or something. Didn't think about it that hard, passing thought but interesting you mention the same thing nonetheless.

I think many are to happy to sit at home (like gov workers) getting paid to do nothing. Sorry, they actually do nothing at work, so presumably to rest at home.

Vrik I think this whole event fell right into the Anc's lap. They can now collude under the radar and push for the things they have wanted to achieve much quicker... what exactly that will be we will have to see. Just look at the airline example... SAA gone, other airlines in trouble and woosh by magic another government airline will appear, guess who will pay for it.
