Yes the human race ending would be a bad thing.

Are we a messed up and a bit broken. Sure :)

Are we the only spieces that is aware that we are messed up and broken and generally does actually try to to get better and fix things.

Messing it up half the time on the way :) But at least we try and as general trend we have and are getting better.

We forget most of the time that we are actually part of nature and when nature goes out of sync it destroys it environment. Think locust swarm etc.

We are the only part of nature who as yet tries first not go out sync and when we do goes back and tries to fix it.

Humans will never break the world worse than a natural phenomenon.

What ever we do the world will recover, most likely with out us on it.

I'd rather want to see how humans can fix what they've done and be part of making it better.

If all humans are dead who would be left to care or appreciate anything?
