It is real and so is any other form of death. Death is the only certainty in life. I have have close family dying right now in other provinces that I can't go see because of lockdown. Let alone how do I take my family for the funeral when it happens when we're only allowed 2 in a car, let alone what do I do about my kids that's with their mother, let alone what happens to my pets if I go.
I'm pretty sure most of us here are going to die sooner from something else other than COVID19 and have much more bigger problems to deals with from the result of COVID19

Exactly. This disease is not worth halting the entire world economy over.
Those living with severe underling symptoms or at an advanced age who are susceptible to death were likely to die any way. As stated above death is the only certainty in life and it is foolish to think you can avoid it altogether.
At some point the economic interest and wellbeing of the overwhelming majority who will NOT DIE or who will experience MILD and SHORT TERM symptoms must be prioritised over the lives of OLD MEN AND WOMEN who will nevertheless die in the foreseeable future. Perhaps it is merciful to grant these individuals the relief of death before they lose their mental facilties and have no practical quality of life at age 90+
