We know how often you are criticized and blamed --- for broken marriages and so many other things that are never truly your fault.

Yet this message is about what you actually do and what you mean to the men who turn to you.

Sometimes you are simply the ears we need when we need to be heard.

Sometimes you are the ones who bring calm after a rough day.

You try to make us happy and give the best of yourselves, even while carrying so much of your own: being both mother and father at home, caring for parents, being the light in so many lives --- all while often suffering in silence.

On this Women's Day, thank you for every one of you. Thank you for the sacrifices you make.

We appreciate you, even when it doesn't always look like it.

You help keep us sane. Speaking for myself, some of you have kept me going through tough times.

I hope this includes me ;).... a decade plus is a long time to offer up away from family Monday to Sundays 13-18 hour shifts over that period it's alot xo
