It must be irritating for ladies to be ghosted once someone hears their rates and there's no response.
I doubt it.
Value is subjective.
I charge R1,500 per hour. It's usually a slow massage with no full service or related offerings.
Naturally, the average enquiry doesn't convert into a booking.
People make calculations such as:
I can get a younger, more attractive practitioner for less.
I can get laid for less.
Those comparisons are filtered through their own priorities and limited frame of reference.
Most providers price their services according to what they know they can realistically sell.
Potential clients aren't privy to every factor that influences a rate.
The question I ask before setting my price is simple: Is this profitable enough to justify my investment of time, energy, and expertise?
Sometimes the answer for the client is no. That's perfectly acceptable.
From my understanding of the business, a 50% conversion rate is healthy. An 80--100% conversion rate in this line of work would eventually lead to burnout or declining standards.
I can't speak for everyone, but that's how I understand my career.
We're not peddling a product with an objective shelf life. The service is there when the right client is ready. If there's no sale today, that's fine.
So no, I don't find it irritating.
