This is exactly the point. In this example where consent is withdrawn after the fact and she lays a complaint, you will be processed and set to appear infront of a magistrate and have a case to answer.

It's not that easy. Less than 5% of rape allegations in this industry materialise into any charge for rape so in the vast majority of cases there is not even going to be an arrest let alone any court appearance of the alleged offender. It is much more likely that a charge of common assault will be initiated and even then the chances of a successful prosecution is extremely low. In fact, it is highly unlikely that any investigation will take place and therefore no charge and even less chance of any court appearance. Even if a complaint from a WG is legit, it is far more difficult to near impossible to substantiate non-consent simply by the fact that the WG is the one that initiates solicitation and now for her to have any recourse she has to attempt to convince others that she is the victim post solicitation. This is an illegal industry and nowhere is it that the criminal justice system in any country is going to bend over backwards to help those involved in criminal activity when the proverbial hits the fan especially while the victim is offended while engaged in the very criminal activity they now feel aggrieved by. The law does not do much, if anything, to protect people that are in trouble from getting involved in criminal behavior. As I said, I do this for a living so I have been around the block when it comes to this.

A girl I know was raped by a client she saw many times before and she didn't feel she could report it because she would have to disclose her profession and explain he booked her as an escort but ended up raping her. The sad thing is she had to block it out of her mind and go back to work the very next day to earn money as it's her only source of income and she had rent and other expenses to pay. Another girl was physically beaten by a regular and went to the police station battered and with a doctors report and the abuser told the police he is the victim and was merely defending himself - they let him go and threatened to arrest her. He probably paid them off.

It's sad that there are people that do this shit. And you are quite correct, in most cases the WG ends up getting charged even if she is truly the victim. A similar incident of assault happened last night and I finished going through the incident report a few minutes ago. Just another day in SA.
