And yes I fully understand that this may well lead to me being banned from your site but in my opinion the fact that ESA keeps quiet and do not take a stance is creating a grey area that can be avoided.

I want to be clear on something, you have no risk of being banned. You engage us politely and rationally, which we appreciate.

As of this morning in a call with Erin RB has decided to not continue with ESA.

I am a very rare contributor to this forum but I do read it with interest from time to time.

Ad I now intend to leave. With some considerable disappointment.

I write so little that I know my going will will hardly cause any tears or stress for anyone.

But, in going, I'd like to make some observations.

From a business perspective, I think the forum is a brilliant "glue" which gives the community great "stickiness".

I also think some of the contributors write some very erudite and thought-provoking messages. Russian Bridgitte was one of them. Veronica Franco and Arizona are two others who write very interesting stuff.

And, before anyone suggests I am simply defending RB, be aware I have never met the lady.

I was simply observing that what is an interesting forum for people to express views and experiences became completely derailed by a weird spat.

A spat initiated by Orpheus.

Who I have never met either.

But who seems like a full-on, 100% twat.

Having read both RB's blog and ESA'S response, the question remains, did she resign or was she pushed ?

I hate to be pedantic - no wait who am I kidding I fucking LOVE being pedantic because words matter - but no, that means at one point you HAD an asshole, not that you WERE one. You also had a heart, a head, limbs etc. It's not like the asshole was the entirety of you.

I am really sorry I ignored this thread before, as I tend to ignore most posts from RB. I don't feel my opinion would matter a row of beans now after the fact, especially in light of RB not being able to respond. All I can say is, whether his accusation of plagiarism is accurate or not, with the limited perspective I have I would find myself on "his side" - if indeed there are actually sides to this.
