Good morning,

So I decided to go visit a friend after work yesterday. It started raining and I decided its time to head home. It was about 7.15pm.

With my aircon on wipers blazing, and me being a little night blind I headed home.
The traffic light was read with no cars behind or in front of me, on my side of the road, only on the other side, so I slowed down an stopped.

I see this black guy coming towards me in the rain on my left hand side, not thinking much of it, maybe its one of the beggars, or is he just crossing the road.

The next moment I heard the first smash then the second smash and before I could realize whats happening he is halfway on my passenger seat.

Thank God I dont pay attention to the k54 rule of taking your car out of gear when at a traffic light or stop street, and also for the smash and grab on my windows that gave me time to react.

First in stink was starting to hit him with my left hand, breaking 2 nails in the process, while I did not give a damm about the red light, foot on the petrol speeding off dragging this f&%$#@er about 15 meters with me.

There was nothing he could take, as I always drive with my handbag on my side, and he did not know so he decided to give up.
As soon as he was out leaned on my hooter , while he ran across the road behind me.

I put my hazards on and skipped every red traffic light till I got home.

By the mercy of God I am safe and unharmed, but I realized this could happen to anyone , any where any time.

O this happened by the traffic light coming from Alexandra towards Modderfontien.

So lady's and gents please be careful, be aware of what is going on around u, dont assume its just another beggar or window washer or street vendor.Lock your doors.

Unfortunately this is a symptom of the social wrongs in our beautiful country. The overwhelming majority are peace loving people but everything is spoiled by that tiny majority.

Keep safe peeps and never keep anything "interesting" visible in the car

This is something that irritates me to no end, we as south africans must take a stand to this every time this happens to a loved one or someone we know we always say we are glad nothing serious happend and thank god we are alive this is bulls@#t, we live in a country with no police presence and no justice all the criminals has more rights than us and if that criminal should find himself in jail we still have to feed him and put a roof over his head by paying our taxes because it is the right thing to do.......... I am just saying we need a better police force doing better policing thus having better law enforcing and we will all have a better live in south africa

@ phomi...... do you want me to say white or coloured? I am night blind not colour blind , and please dont get me wrong i have many black friends, I am not a rasist in fact one of my best friends is a black lady here on esa xxx

This is serious this is not a race thing it is a south african thing, we need to be able to live in a country that has love for all races

Tanya, well done. I sincerely hope the fucker got seriously hurt when you dragged him alongside the car. Hurt as in getting his feet caught under the wheels. I have NO sympathy for fuckers like that when they get their comeuppance.
