Couldn't agree more. I once paid a deposit to a lady who I had seen multiple times before without a deposit, and has pages of great reviews on esa, so I assumed low risk in this case... then I got dogged. After that one incident, I've never entertained deposits again.

That must REALLY hurt. Being ghosted by someone I had never never met before stung, but I can't imagine what it would feel like with a regular.

Many of us are professional, and intend on sticking around in the industry for a while.
Our professional reputation is important to us, and we wouldn't mess it up by stealing from clients.
That just doesn't make sense. To me, at least.
