This pretty much sums it up. The vocal minority don't really make an impact. These threads are often kept alive by multiple posts by the same accounts, which lends credence to your "1% of the 20%". The VAST majority of people in this industry don't comment on the forum and are, most likely, completely fine paying whatever the lady they like asks.

Case in point:I've contacted ladies here who charged a rate I could not afford. I knock on their door every so often to check if the rate has maybe decrease, which, more often than not, it hasn't (often it's increased). They often also have very few reviews. Yet in all that time their ad is very much still active. So in a nutshell: me not being able to afford her has had very little impact on her business and I fully accept that. I don't get angry, I don't berate them. I move on.

Standing outside a Porche garage demanding they lower the price so I can afford it will mean little to nothing if the guy behind me walks in and drives of with a brand new car a few minutes later. As long as enough people are willing to pay that price, my voice is meaningless, and I'm totally fine with that.

For all we know those SPs the "Simps" been paying R2k plus, have been providing services for much less to others, who, were smart enough to take a risk and ask for a better rate and got it. Some may even be on the list of SPs that have decided to provide special offers, since this topic started.

I haven't paid a lady anything more than R1800 for a punt. And that was a single time and I'm unlikely to go back.

I'm usually in the R800 to R1500 bracket.

In my experience I've seen some ladies thrive at venues and when going solo it's not the same. And vice-versa. Guess it depends on the personality and endurance. Venue has its pros and cons, going solo has more tasks than just the service such as security/safety, admin/scheduling, cleaning up/washing sheets, towels. Guess we can't have it all. But those venue rates are shocking!

I find it absurd that clients want ladies to drop their prices but yet the cost of living rises. We not just talking about vat that didn't have the rise but we speak about advertising platforms, fuel, venues and rental and day to day expenses and yes we have families too. You want a perfect service with all the extra requests but refuse to pay for it. Life is absurd with costs of living and service providers have full right to determine their prices sothat they able to see through day to day. If you can tear up at your piling bills just remember to think about what the service providers have too......
