I had this issue the other day without even knowing for the water was off... I had gone out to the shops (there was still water when I left) and came back to see a client and poof it was like it disappeared, client managed to shower and I had showered before heading out, but definitely not the finest moments I've experienced in this line of work

I am currently working in Randburg Ferndale over the weekends... And the lodge goes a few times a day to fill big buckets of water, and we have special buckets to warm the water in for a special candle lit bath, for clients with all the trimmings... It's not an easy situation, but if you wanna make your clients' experience with u a special one, irrespective of some challenges.... Then not the whole of JHB is that bad....

I do not work when there is a water problem.

Hygiene comes first for me and the client.

Visited Coyote (add active) last week, who has a compulsory pre-action shower and that girl made a plan! She was clean and fresh and organised me a bucket and boiled kettle water. Washed from the bucket then I waxxed that ass. I'm so glad she prioritised hygiene. Top lady

Rather a signal of how deep the incompetence run. We all sometimes forget to do something. But if your iq is north of a brick and have some sense of responsibility it wont take you 10 days to figure out you forgot to open a tap.

The ongoing water crisis in Durban has affected so many...and not only when it comes to "punting ".

It has affected all walks of life. Being in the sporting wellness part of business too, sporting facilities that do not have running water at their premises are seeing a decline in membership, even existing regular attendees going to gym etc....this impacts huge on my earnings


The apathy among the durban people is palpable as is the desperation affecting lifestyle and business overall.

No matter any contingency plans one may have in place such as near 300l of water stored (at all times even though i our building has huge jojo tanks storing water for our usage), towels air-conditioning and all that speaks to hygiene (PARAMOUNT), the sweltering humidity is keeping many away from pratictising their fitness regimes or, being "touched", feeling grumpy and grubby as they may not have water at their homes.


The water issue IS a HUGE problem much bigger than the loadshedding experienced.

Water is life in all aspects a precious commodity.

Scary to here that it is hitting SA nationally and without doubt a bigger crisis than loadshedding is on the rise.
