On most occasions especially for first visits. I have taken some chocolates & biltong to a booking. Jokingly so, I tell the sp that "the chocs are to increase the amount of sweetness towards me so that you can spread this legs"

It usually breaks the ice & any awkwardness of the first visit

It is honestly the biggest relief when the clients break the ice because sometimes we're both equally nervous meeting for the first time

I do sometimes take wine or ask the lady what drink I can bring for her (let's call it rude for me to just bring my own drink). Have done chocolate a couple of times, including once to a first time booking (felt I owed that much at the very least because the first attempt at making a booking was a comedy of errors). For me it's just a gesture, hopefully helps break the ice.

On tips, I do try and tip (I haven't always tipped, didn't know it was a thing), and similarly to a previous poster, easier when the rate quoted is less than what I had budgeted/was willing to spend.

I dont think i've seen a lady without taking anything with, unless it was really a last minute and rushed visit.

I feel like im being welcomed and accepted into their personal space and so should reciprocate the gesture somehow. Also gifting and making someone feel good won't kill you.

Sometimes when I'm on my way to a booking I get a call:
She says "Hi babes, please buy me two pies and a slab of chocolate at the garage near me. You can deduct the amount from my fee."

Of course I never deduct the amount from her fee, it's a gift.
No problem with the amount involved, but it's a bit of a hassle to go to the garage and buy these things, especially when I'm all ready for a booking.

I love gifts and that being said... a gift is exactly what it is.... A gift. And when I am graced with a gift I am as excited as what I was when I was a child.

Agreed! I love how that makes you feel... cute!

Speaking of gifts... wow you are beautiful!
