It's been a tough year I think for a lot of people. I live by the saying "It's not what happens to you that determines how far you go in life. It's how you handle what happens to you."

That's horrible man. I saw a house in fire last week early in the morning and felt so bad for the occupants. Hope you recover quick. Go for a punt to cheer you up.

We are all good
My son ran into our bedroom at around 1 am and simply said "Dad I think that the house is on fire"

I must say that with all the negativity going on - the CPF, SAPS, EMS were awesome
We were all put onto oxygen for half an hour for smoke
The fire was put out in 10 minutes - they did cause a bit of extra damage as they didn't want the roof rafters to re-ignite
