You should not be sad, life happens..... some of us, like you are running businesses and unfortunately, unlike you in this case, those businesses are not operating on set times where one is open or close.... Our schedule cannot be guaranteed 48 hours in advance, nevermind 3 months in advance.
That's the life of a consulting engineer. 72 hours ago, I was supposed to go play golf today, I end up with my ass on a plane as we speak.
So, I understand where you come from, and it's your club, and it's early hours of the morning and you might be gatvol of it all, I just hope you will have a good rest and wake up in a good mood later and understand that some people situation is not as easy as 1,2,3....
