In my mind, she isn't a dude.
Maybe she never was a dude, she was just born with appendages that she doesn't identify with, and needed surgery to correct.
If u have man boobs, does that make you a woman?
Also, I'm not sure it's fair to expect her to have to reveal that part of her past. We don't know what sort of trauma got her to where she is today
Just my thoughts. No offense intended

Yes, yes, and probably much more.
Assuming she was a post op but to be honest it wasn't any of my business to ask

Love your feedback @carlfine
I usually don't get involved in these sort of posts. I feel that when you entertain this, it brings this sort of attention.
But I did once read a passage that said, "A boy who can't stand up for himself, grows up to be a man who can't stand up for anything."
When I read of this things, I often wonder, what code am I?
As a transman, I have always been a man, in the wrong body. A body I don't identify with. So even if you happened to meet me at 14, when I had long hair, wore dresses, did modeling and had estrogen oozing out of me... I was still a man. Even if I didn't have the courage to tell the world at the time.
I can only speak on behalf of myself and no one else. But I agree, transparency is important, not everyone is open minded and the lack thereof could lead to violence. Which is in NO way justified. But also consider that these women, are petrified and may have had men know their stories which could have also led to abuse and violence.
There are so many different factors to it. I personally live my life as loudly, authentically and bravely as possible.
The same way we may never know what someone else is going through, you might never know the weight a trans person may being going through. Especially the women, they get murdered, raped, beaten, called names such as code 3 or whatever.
All I'm saying is have a little bit of compassion.
I am sorry that you went into a booking unaware. Perhaps you should have directly and politely addressed it with the lady.
